Desert Dolls Empowerment Project

A nonprofit organization

Bringing the fun back to the flat track through empowerment, organization, training, coaching and promoting by way of public events and media the amateur sport of roller derby in Arizona, the United States and Internationally.

Established in 2009, Desert Dolls Roller Derby made a commitment to being an all-inclusive and community oriented league. We believe that any person, no matter their physical prowess, can be a roller derby athlete through ongoing mentoring and training programs.
Desert Dolls Roller Derby strives to be community oriented by raising awareness concerning issues affecting the Valley.

Since its inception DDRD has helped 200+ members find their inner strength both on and off the track.

Testimonials

I love that my size is embraced and sometimes envied. I found a place where then expectations of the world I live in fall away and the only thing that my derby sisters expect of me is to show up and do my best. - Frida Kihlya
