Catalina Foothills School District Foundation

Catalina Foothills School District (CFSD) Foundation raises supplemental funds to attract, develop and retain excellent teachers throughout the district. Our Arizona Gives Day campaign is called Thank a Teacher. We believe there is no better time than now to reach out and tell CFSD teachers how much they are valued and appreciated. When you make a donation, the Foundation Board will send a handwritten thank you note to the teacher(s) of your choice.

Our vision is that CFSD schools will have the resources they need through both public and private funding to provide world-class educational opportunities to our students. We seek the involvement of all District families, residents and businesses in giving of their time, talent and financial support to make this vision a reality.

100% of our proceeds are given to the Catalina Foothills School District to fund the Great Beginnings Program that supports teachers throughout the District

"For example, last year, students in an Astronomy course met online with scientists from ASU who work with the Mars Odyssey Orbiter Spacecraft to propose a study using a THEMIS camera onboard the spacecraft. Their proposal was accepted and they collaborated on data collection and received a previously unrecorded photograph of the surface of Mars that was used in their study."
