LFAC is seeing firsthand the fallout of this pandemic and specifically, how it is affecting children diagnosed with Leukemia and their families. Unfortunately there has been dramatic impact both economically and emotionally. Economically due to either loss or reduction of employment and emotionally due to restrictions placed by hospitals as to who may visit (if visitation is allowed at all) the children who are hospitalized. Although LFAC cannot address the emotional impact of Covid19, it has stepped up to address the economic toll Covid19 has taken on these families by offering greater financial assistance where needed.
