American Islamic Forum for Democracy

AIFD addresses the root cause of Islamist radicalization. We believe that the primary way to do this is through the separation of mosque and state, the defeat of Islamism, and the advancement of the ideas of liberty and Americanism. We passionately focus on the integration of immigrant Muslim communities into the idea of Americanism, universal human rights and the reason secular liberal democracy protects individual freedoms.

1. Public Engagement-by driving the national conversation on our mission through media appearances, keynote speaking engagements, debate, and published work, AIFD demonstrates that there are many diverse and patriotic Muslims in America.

2. Muslim Liberty Project -A community building effort focusing on young American Muslims who we hope will become ambassadors in their communities and protect American ideals of freedom and liberty.

3. Muslim Reform Movement - A broad based diverse coalition of over 20 Western Muslim leaders from the US, Canada, and Europe who our organization convened in 2015 and who came together as signatories to a Declaration which has become our firewall for human rights that separates us from Muslims who are Islamists or their apologists. This coalition has become a visible and palpable opposition to the Islamist establishment in the West and globally defending the rights of minorities inside and outside Muslim communities.

4. Assembly of Future Muslim Leaders of America -this new program will mentor future American Muslim leaders who will be change agents supporting Americanism against Islamism. They will be trained and mentored in power networking, creating opportunities, sustainable and supported connections, creating an ongoing leadership training program, augmenting their current work in diverse fields and aspirations, writing, speeches, events, and a broad range of platforms. This program will engage our future leaders in areas beyond internal reform toward integration across platforms as a future alternative to the current Islamist establishment.
