Citizens Water Advocacy Group

In recognition that water is a limited resource, the Citizens Water Advocacy Group (CWAG) promotes a sustainable water future in the Upper Verde River Basin and the Prescott Active Management Area by educating the public, encouraging citizen action, and advocating responsible governmental decision-making.

Our vision is that all residents of the Upper Verde River Basin and the Prescott Active Management Area have a sustainable supply of clean water, flows in the springs and streams are maintained, water quality in lakes and streams meets Clean Water Act standards, and the biodiversity of plant and animal communities is preserved.

The goal of the Citizens Water Advocacy Group is the realization and maintenance of sustainable water use in the Upper Verde River Watershed and Prescott Active Management Area.
