Arizona Facts of Life

A nonprofit organization

To provide and nourish an environment where youth and families discover healthy solutions to life situations.

Arizona Facts of Life (AZFOL) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization established in 2003 by founder, Yolanda Robinson, who observed the need for early intervention in personal development for children and young adults while working in the foster care system and dealing with her own adversities as a teen mother. She acknowledged this as a need she could and should address within her own community and accepted her mission to provide and nourish an environment where young girls and boys could discover healthy solutions to life situations. By providing personal development opportunities for unserved and underserved youth, AFOL helped them reach their potential while equipping them with knowledge, resources, and skills to aid in enabling their success. During the past 5 years, AZFOL has served over 2,000 youth in our abstinence education programs in an effort to reduce the rates of pregnancy and births in teens ages 11-19, decrease the incidence of sexually transmitted
diseases among teens ages 11-19 and promote healthy decision-making. Over 1,775 youth have participated in our youth leadership
development program where they are provided with mentorship, tutoring, life skills training programs, summer camps, college tours, performing arts, and athletic
programs. Programs and services are provided in group home settings, community-based settings, and in-school and after-school
programs.
AZFOL strives to build partnerships with youth, families, and community organizations to fulfill our mission to nourish an environment where youth and families discover healthy solutions to life situations.
