390th Memorial Museum Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to honor and memorialize those veterans who provided ground support and flew the B-17 in the 390th Bombardment Group of the Eighth Air Force in World War II, to serve as a window on the air war over Europe by the 390th and related Bomb Groups in that conflict, an to educate the public on their service and sacrifice in the cause of freedom.

Originally founded by a close-knit group of 390th veterans to honor, preserve and share their stories, the 390th Memorial Museum has evolved to become a world class facility focused on the 390th Bombardment Group (H) and its role in the European air war during WWII. The museum is unique and personal, highlighted by the B-17 aircraft "I'll Be Around". Exhibits feature the personal stories of the veterans of the 390th Bombardment Group (H).

Testimonials

"Everything was top notch from the aircraft itself to the displays and artifacts. The volunteers were wonderful as well and not only were informative but really seemed to enjoy each other and being there. I thought the 390th museum was the highlight of the whole Pima (Air and Space) campus. Well done!"
