At Aunt Rita’s Foundation, everything we do is driven by one unwavering commitment: ending HIV and the suffering it causes in our communities across Arizona.

Our story began in the 1980s, when a simple bake sale was organized to support friends and neighbors living with—and dying from—AIDS. What started as grassroots compassion has grown into Arizona’s leading HIV-focused philanthropic organization. Since 2005, Aunt Rita’s Foundation has worked tirelessly to end HIV in our state by funding vital programs, supporting at-risk communities, and standing at the forefront of prevention and education efforts.

Guided by our core belief, “By the Community and For the Community,” we proudly collaborate with every HIV service organization in Arizona. Together with our nonprofit partners, state and local governments, and private-sector allies, we strengthen the network of care that so many rely on. Through these partnerships, we’ve granted more than $2,250,000 to support HIV education, prevention, and treatment programs across Arizona.

Your Arizona Gives Day contribution ensures our life-changing programs, for youth, adults and our seniors, continue—and that we remain steadfast in the fight to end the HIV epidemic in our great state.
